We have to admit it was very funny watching the Lawyer with the cute cat video on Zoom these past days! So we at Egami thought hey, we should learn how to do this and share it with you!

How to use the Snap Camera to become a cat

  • First, you need to download the app Snap Camera from its website, 
  • Install the app then launch Snap Cam
  • And get familiar with its interface. 

You can use the app on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts, Google Meet and Skype.

How to use it on different streaming platforms:

Zoom

  1. Be sure that Snap Camera is running when you open up Zoom.
  2. Open the Zoom Settings
  3. Select the Video settings tab on the left sidebar of the Settings windows
  4. Select Snap Camera as your Camera

If you are unable to select Snap Camera, restart the Zoom application. 

Microsoft Teams

  1. Find the user icon in the upper right of the Teams window and click on it.
  2. Find and click on Settings
  3. Click on Devices in the left-hand menu
  4. On the Devices menu, you’ll find the camera option
  5. On the dropdown menu change it to Snap Camera

If you don’t see Snap Camera in the drop-down menu you may need to update either Snap Camera or Microsoft Teams, restart your computer, or check with your Teams administrator to see if they’ve disabled a setting required to connect Snap Camera to Teams.

Google Hangouts

  1. Open a call in Google Hangout
  2. Hover towards the top right of the window
  3. Click the cog icon to open the settings window
  4. Under the General tab, select Snap Camera as your camera

If you are unable to select Snap Camera, restart your browser.

Google Meet

  1. Open a call in Google Meet
  2. Hover your mouse towards the bottom of the window to bring up the menu (where the microphone, hang up, and camera button is), and click the three dots on the far right
  3. Click Settings from the menu
  4. Select the Video Tab, and choose Snap Camera as your Camera

If you are unable to select Snap Camera, restart your browser. 

Skype

  1. Open a video call
  2. Hover over the bottom right of the screen and click on the three dots
  3. Click Audio and Video Settings in the menu
  4. In the Settings menu, select Snap Camera as your Camera

If you are unable to select Snap Camera, restart Skype.
