That boost button = wasted money...
Guess what? You should NOT be boosting those posts... What should you do instead? Create an Ad from an existing post on your page.
We know that Boost Post button comes up in your business page everytime you send out new posts. It's very intriguing to click, isn't it? Especially that it offers such quick and easy steps to promote your posts. After doing some research and some tests ourselves, we believe that it's NOT the way to go. Instead, Facebook offers you to create a more complex Ad by choosing "Create Ads" in the right corner of your page.
It simply gives you better options to reach your marketing objectives...
Check out this video which shows you step by step how to boost your post for the best return on your dollars spent...
A lot has changed since Facebook entered marketing scene. Facebook has 1.18 billion daily active users. Let’s put that in perspective. That’s over 5X the population of the United States, 15% of the world population … and it’s still climbing. Not to mention the amount of time people spend on Social media, the average user spends 50 minutes per day with Facebook properties.
A few things to keep in mind, especially when you're new at promoting posts for your business:
1. Start by having a goal in mind.
Whether to get viewers, followers or creating a brand awareness. You should always have that goal in mind when creating ads. Think of contents and choose words wisely when promoting a campaign. What do you want people to take from this post and how can you achieve that with the ads you're planning to boost.
2. Pick your targets.
Think about who you would like to target with the posts that you want to boost. Optimize the traffic by specifying locations, ages, interests and other detailed targetings.
